Pre-K Class

Our Pre-K Class

Exploring Centers:

  • Encourage children to explore different learning centers (e.g., science, dramatic play, blocks, writing, language arts, math).
  • Themes come alive in each center. Children explore and learn as the theme is integrated into each center. Children explore, learn as well as develop problem-solving

skills.

Art:

(Foster creativity and self-expression.)

  • Children experiment with various art materials, colors, and techniques. They learn about shapes, patterns, and visual aesthetics.

Sensory Exploration:

  • Engage all senses (touch, smell, taste, sight, hearing). Sensory play enhances cognitive development, fine

motor skills, and emotional regulation.

Math:

(Introduce basic math concepts.)

  • Counting, sorting, measuring, and exploring patterns occur naturally during play and daily routines.

Language Arts:

  • Develop language and literacy skills.
  • Storytime, conversations, and exposure to books build vocabulary, comprehension, and a love for reading.

Dramatic Play:

  • Encourage imagination and role-playing.
  • Children take on different roles (e.g., doctor, chef, firefighter), enhancing social skills and empathy.

Blocks and Construction:

  • Enhance spatial awareness and problem-solving.
  • Building structures with blocks develops fine motor skills, spatial reasoning, and creativity.

Writing and Literacy:

  • Introduce pre-writing skills.
  • Children explore writing tools, scribble, and create marks. They learn about letters and their sounds.

Weekly Themes:

  • Foster curiosity and engagement.
  • Each week, we explore a new theme (e.g., animals, seasons, community helpers). Children learn through related activities, stories, and projects.

Our approach is child-centered, and we adapt to each child’s unique interests and developmental stage.
